Ko Ang Thong Marina Park

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park consists of 42 islands. Its main islands are Phaluai Island, Wua Chio Island, Wua Talap Island, Mae Ko Island, Samsao Island, Phai Luak Island, Kha Island, Hindap Island, Phi Island, Wua Kantang Island, Mae Yat Island, Wua Te Island, Naiphut Island, Changsom Island, Hanuman Island, Thaiphlao Island, Huaklong Island, and Kho Ban Island. The park covers a total area of 102 sq.km of which about only 18 sq.km is land. The National parkdoes not encompass the entire island chain, its jurisdiction covers about 82% of the total area. The park was established on 12th November 1980. iI had one day tour to mu ko ang thong marina.they are pick me up in the early morning and took me to ban tai for get in the boat then we go aways to the national park during the way you can see many small island around arrived and we get off to the island i claim down and rest on the beach then group back to koh phangan. they stop some time to feed the fish and also swiming. lovely and very friendly tour guid.

Than Sadet Beach

Than Sadet Beach in Koh Phangan

Than Sadet actually means 'Royal Stream' in honour of King Rama V who visited the area in Koh Phangan over 10 times. The name of the beach is referred to as both Than Sadet as well as Haad Sadet.

The beach of Than Sadet is located on the east coast of Koh Phangan. It is only accessible by a rough track or by the Thong Nai Pan Express boat. Recently, the road from Than Sadet to Thong Nai Pan has been concreted. Work also been started to improve the road to Haad Sadet.

Than Sadet is a gorgeous small beach tucked away from the world. Nearby is Than Sadet Waterfall and National Park, famously a favourite spot of King Rama V of Thailand. The King carved his initials in a rock next to the waterfall. King Rama VII and the present King (Rama IX) have also done the same. As a consequence,Than Sadet waterfall is almost a place of pilgrimage for Thai people.

The national park is a great place for trekking and discovering the flora and fauna of Koh Phangan. There are a number of treks to attempt including one to Thong Nai Pan Yai and to a view point. Remember to bring sunblock and plenty of water if you attempt a long trek.

Than Sadet has a bohemian feel to it. It is a place for those more interested in a beach location than swimming pools and maid service. Just a short walk south of Than Sadet is another small beach called Haad Thong Reng which is virtually deserted.

For those looking to have a real life Robinson Crusoe experience Than Sadet might be just the beach for you.

Koh Phangan is a unique and very special Island in the
Gulf of Thailand, it is sheltered from heavy weather and maintains one of the best climates in the region. The Full Moon Party has bought the Island global notoriety and it's a fantastic place to party, but Koh Phangan also has many other sides to amaze its visitors.
I booked ticket from lomphaya speedy boat on kaosan road also you can booking ticket from website or some agency there.bus leave from kaosan 2 time in the morning 6 am or 9pm.if you leave there 6 am you will get in koh phangan around 4pm or if you take bus 9pm you will get in koh phangan on 10.45am so i choose 9 pm and get in chumporn 5 am and waiting for frist boat on 7 am but it not too bad you can see the sunrise at pier

nice to stay near the beach and not expensive room there.Chaloklum Bay is located on the north side of the world has a long crescent beach curves around a semicircular bay, a mile deep. Fishing boats can be parked. Cover and wind. It is the world's fishing communities and villages, arbitrary Chaloklum. The fishing port is just a part. And distribution of fresh and dried seafood, dried squid, especially the most famous product. Visitors can walk to the beach, a bottle of contact with the boat.you can see from the top and looked at Chaloklum Bay

Haadkhom Just 2 km or a twenty minute walk east of Chaloklum beach and fishing village is Haad Khom beach. Haad Khom is one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in Koh Phangan. Haad Khom is popular with long stay backpackers and is all about relaxing. Haad Khom is a peaceful spot far away from the parties and late night noise. This is where to go if you really want to get away from everything.

The special thing about Haad Khom is that it has a coral reef just off the beach. It is full of marine life and is one of the best spots on the island to go snorkeling. There is also some great trekking in the area. One popular walk is to Bottle Beach. It takes about 2 hours and crosses jungle and mountain terrain. There are some great views along the way. If you are too tired to walk back you can always take a longtail boat taxi.

Most of the accomodation on Haad Khom is traditional beach bungalows with balconies and hammocks. At present only Coconut Beach and Garden Bugalows andOcean View Resort have online booking. Coconut Beach and Garden Bungalows has the distinction of having the cheapest bungalows to be found in Koh Phangan
